Lisbon is a full tourism ecosystem in one city: a historic centre, river and Atlantic coast, day trips to Sintra and Cascais, a busy cruise port, and a strong meetings and events industry. Incoming-tourism companies work with visitors from all over the world, which gives VET students daily practice in languages, customer service and itinerary planning.

Where students work

• Tour operators and destination-management companies: programme building, supplier contact, group logistics.
• Travel agencies: customer service, bookings, travel-product sales.
• Tours and experiences: supporting guides on walking, food and cultural tours; check-in and customer care.
• Visitor services: information desks, attractions and cultural venues.

What students learn

Typical learning outcomes include designing and costing itineraries, handling bookings and suppliers, communicating with international clients, promoting tourism products online, and understanding how a destination like Lisbon is managed. We agree the exact outcomes with your school in the Learning Agreement.

How it works

1. Your school sends us its profile, group size, sector and dates. We reply with a proposal within 48 hours.
2. We match each student to a host company based on their course, language level and learning objectives. Your school approves every match.
3. We prepare the documents: Learning Agreements, supervision plans and the paperwork your Erasmus+ grant needs.
4. Arrival: airport pickup, accommodation, an orientation day, then the placement starts.
5. Evaluation: supervisor assessment and a Europass Mobility certificate for every student.
