VET Sector · Hospitality & Hotels
Erasmus+ work placements in Lisbon hotels for European vocational students: front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and events.
Tourism is one of the pillars of the Portuguese economy, and Lisbon is its busiest city destination. The city has everything from international hotel chains and design hotels to family-run guesthouses, with strong demand all year, not only in summer. For a VET student, this means a real working environment with international guests and a pace that is hard to recreate in a training restaurant at school.
Every host hotel is checked by our team for quality of supervision, a real learning plan and relevance to VET hospitality curricula. Each student has a named supervisor at the hotel.
Learning outcomes are agreed with your school in the Learning Agreement. In hospitality placements they usually include customer service in English in a multicultural setting, hotel operating procedures and property-management software, quality and hygiene standards, and teamwork across departments.

Read more →No. Lisbon hotels work with international guests every day and English is the normal working language at front office and in events. A few words of Portuguese help with colleagues, and we include a short survival-Portuguese session on the orientation day.
That depends on the student’s course and level. Typical tasks include guest check-in and check-out support, reservations, concierge support, room inspection and housekeeping routines, breakfast and restaurant service, and setting up meetings and events.
Most hotels provide the uniform or ask for a simple dress code (dark trousers, white shirt, closed black shoes). We send the exact requirements for each hotel before departure.
Yes. Mixed groups are common: some students at hotels, others at travel agencies or restaurants, all coordinated by the same team.
Send us your school profile, group size, sector and preferred dates. We reply with a placement proposal within 48 hours.
