Erasmus+ placements in Lisbon restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops and catering companies for European cooking, pastry and food-service students.
Portuguese food is built on fresh fish and seafood, olive oil, rice dishes and a famous pastry tradition led by the pastel de nata. Lisbon adds a lively restaurant scene, from traditional tascas to chef-driven restaurants and international cuisine. For cooking and pastry students, it is a chance to work with new products and techniques in busy professional kitchens.
Typical learning outcomes include professional kitchen organisation and timing, Portuguese and Mediterranean products and recipes, food safety and HACCP practice in a real kitchen, and teamwork under service pressure. Front-of-house students practise service and customer care in English.
