Build an app prototype with AI.
Five days of thinking, building, testing and improving — together, around a real educational need.
Work with other educators around shared needs and interests to design, build and test an app you could use in your teaching.
AI supports thinking and creation. You remain responsible for decisions, checking results and understanding the prototype’s limitations.
The course is designed to develop practical capability and critical judgment through one small, useful project.
Explore the five days →The daily themes provide a focus; ethics, verification and tool choice run throughout the week. Activities, technical level and tools will be refined through the teacher survey and planning with Casa.
Question, compare and critique ideas with AI. In small groups, choose a teaching need and define the intended user and task.
Build a first app prototype with AI-assisted coding. Test the output, ask AI to explain it and fix problems. Start with one useful core function.
Explore different AI tools and their limits. Improve your prototype and prepare a user task, a question to investigate and a simple feedback method.
Explore a small multi-step workflow with a human review point. Add it only if useful. Test the app with others and compare expectations with observations.
Improve the app using testing results. Review accuracy, privacy, bias and accessibility. Demonstrate the prototype and explain its limits and next steps.
Field learning: the proposed school or community setting, participants and permissions must be agreed with Casa. An on-site user test can serve as a fallback.
A working prototype with a small, useful scope, developed collaboratively around an educational need.
Testing observations, an explanation of the app’s limitations and a practical plan for its possible use in teaching.
